Co-hosted by the Beijing International Film Festival Organising Committee, the Chinese Olympic Committee and the Beijing Olympic City Development Association (BODA), the Theme Forum of the 21st Beijing International Sports Film Week (BISFW) was successfully held at Vintage, Chaoyang District, Beijing, on 18 April 2025. The theme of the forum was “The Olympics Through the Lens of Film”.
On 29 November, the Beijing Olympic City Development Centre held the Beijing-Zhangjiakou Seminar on International Communication Capacity Building of Olympic Venues in Beijing. Communications managers of some Olympic venues in Beijing, Yanqing and Zhangjiakou zones of the Winter Olympic Games Beijing 2022 attended the meeting and introduced what their respective venue has done in international communication. Multiple experts attended the seminar and put forward recommendations on how venues could strengthen international communication.
The Beijing Olympic City Development Association (BODA) made its debut with a specifically designed booth at the 2024 China Sports Culture Expo and China Sports Tourism Expo which opened at the Suzhou International Expo Centre on 10 October. The BODA team participating in the expos was led by Ji Chuanpai, member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the Beijing Olympic City Development Centre.
Hosted by the Beijing Olympic City Development Association (BODA) and co-organised by the Beijing Olympic City Development Centre and the Changping District People’s Government of Beijing Municipality, the Run Girls women’s race of the 15th Beijing Olympic City Sports Culture Festival took place in Qikong Bridge Flower Sea and Ming Tombs Reservoir, Changping District on 1 September. High-ranking officials present at the event included Han Zirong, member of the Party Leadership Group of the Beijing Municipal Political Consultative Conference and Executive Vice President of BODA; Fu Xiaohui, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the Beijing Olympic City Development Centre; Zhang Ningyu, Vice Chairperson of the Beijing Women’s Federation; Gao Yunchao, Deputy Director of the Beijing Olympic City Development Centre; Ji Chuanpai, member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the Beijing Olympic City Development Centre; Chen Xiang, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Changping District Committee and Director of the Publicity Department; Tang Bin, Director of the Mass Sports Department of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Sports; Li Jian, Chairman of Radio Beijing Corporation; and Wang Chao, head of Shisanling Town of Changping District.
On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Beijing International Sports Film Week (BISFW), a delegation led by Franco B. Ascani, Member of the IOC Culture and Olympic Heritage Commission and President of Fédération Internationale Cinéma Télévision Sportifs (FICTS), attended the Shortlists Announcement Ceremony of the 20th BISFW and visited the Beijing Olympic Museum on 22 and 23 August. They conducted an in-depth exchange of views with high-ranking officials of the Chinese Olympic Committee, the Beijing Olympic City Development Association (BODA), the Jury of the BISFW and the Beijing Federation of Literary & Art Circles.
The Shortlists Announcement Ceremony of the 20th Beijing International Sports Film Week (BISFW) was held at Orange Space, Vintage, on the evening of 23 August. Present at the ceremony were Han Zirong, Executive Vice President of the Beijing Olympic City Development Association (BODA), Jiang Xiaoyu, Chairman of the Jury of the Beijing International Sports Film Week, Franco B. Ascani, Member of the IOC Culture and Olympic Heritage Commission and President of Fédération Internationale Cinéma Télévision Sportifs (FICTS), Enzo Capiello, Secretary General of FICTS, Gao Chao, Director of Press, Publicity and Cultural Heritage Department of the Chinese Olympic Committee, Fu Xiaohui, Vice President and Secretary General of BODA and Director of the Beijing Olympic City Development Centre.
Co-hosted by the Beijing Olympic City Development Association (BODA), the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Sports and other departments, the 15th Beijing Olympic City Sports Culture Festival and the 5th “8·8” Beijing Sports Shopping Carnival opened at the celebration plaza of the Beijing Olympic Park Central Area on the evening of 8 August 2024. Sima Hong, Vice Mayor of Beijing and Chairperson of BODA, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony. Angelita Teo, Director of the Olympic Foundation for Culture and Heritage, Chair of the Olympic Museums Network and Director of the Olympic Museum in Lausanne sent a congratulatory message.
