Films in two decades embrace dual-Olympic dreams. On 2 August 2024, eight panellists were gathered in Beijing to conduct a final review of the shortlisted works and recommend 18 excellent films for the 20th Beijing International Sports Film Week (BISFW) and the 42nd Milano International FICTS Fest - World Championship Final (Beijing).

The 20th BISFW is co-hosted by the Organising Committee of the Beijing International Film Festival, the Chinese Olympic Committee and the Beijing Olympic City Development Association (BODA) and co-organised by the Press Commission of the Chinese Olympic Committee and the Beijing Olympic City Development Centre. After the preliminary review, 47 out of the 275 entries collected were recommended and will be displayed at the 20th BISFW Poster Exhibition on 23 August.

During the final review, the panellists conducted in-depth discussions from multiple perspectives such as the sporting spirit embodied in the films, artistic expression and originality. They meticulously analysed and evaluated each entry in order to select the most touching Chinese sports stories.

In the end, 18 excellent works were shortlisted and will be officially announced at the Shortlists Announcement Ceremony of the 20th BISFW on 23 August and take part in the 42nd Milano International FICTS Fest - World Championship Final in accordance with the According to the Rules on Collection of Works for Beijing International Sports Film Week and Milano International FICTS FEST-World Championship Final (Beijing). Moreover, public screening will be held in cooperation with the China National Film Museum and the Beijing Olympic Museum.
