The Summer Palace saw the dual Olympic culture theme exhibition on July 31, 2022 on the 7th anniversary of Beijing's successful bidding for the Olympic Winter Games 2022. The exhibition was jointly organized by the Beijing Olympic City Development Center and the Beijing Municipal Administration Center of Parks, and hosted by the Beijing Summer Palace Management Office.
Beijing, after successfully hosting the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, has become the first city to host both the Summer and Winter Olympics in the world. In order to show the extraordinary history and unique allure of the dual Olympic city and share the Olympic glory with the public, Beijing Olympic City Development Center, after elaborate planning, has launched a series of activities themed dual Olympic culture, and included them in the Beijing Olympic City Sports Culture Festival, which were held in Beijing and Zhangjiakou respectively.
The dual Olympic culture exhibition, an integral part of the activities, is themed as "Dual Olympic City, Unique Future light", with nine sections: dream fulfillment, cohesion, hand-down, eternity, persuit, friendship, people, culture and future. Through 96 selected pictures representing the Beijing Olympic Games and the Olympic Winter Games, the exhibition made contrasts between the same time, the same scene and the same theme of the 2 Games, enabling viewers to review wonderful moments, feel the developments and differences, while gathering the momentum to move forward. The exhibition, making full use of the outdoor display advantages of the Summer Palace, added a new scenic attraction to the world cultural heritage with Beijing Olympic culture.
Fu Xiaohui, Director of Beijing Olympic City Development Center, Zhang Yong, Director of Beijing Municipal Administration Center of Parks, and Zhang Yahong, Deputy Director of Beijing Municipal Administration Center of Parks attended the launching ceremony. The exhibition was hosted by Ji Chuanpai, Deputy Director of Beijing Olympic City Development Center.
