The 500-day countdown cultural activities were held at Badaling Great Wall on September 20, one of the series of the campaign “500 days to go, let’s keep it up”.

Activities were marked by Winter Olympic songs such as "Winter Olympics with You and Me" and "Love for Ice and Snow".

The solicitation from September 2020 to March 2021 for outstanding paper-cut works for the Winter Olympics Art Competition was launched and covers 11 categories such as Winter Olympic Games series, venue series, and winter ice and snow landscape series in the three dimensions of Great Wall culture, Spring Festival culture and ice and snow culture.

He Jianghai, deputy secretary-general of the Beijing Organising Committee for the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Games, said in a speech that the 500-day countdown for the Beijing Winter Olympics meant that the preparations entered the test-ready stage. All competition venues would be completed and meet the test requirements within this year. Plans were finalized to enter a critical period of actual drills.
