Wishing for the success of PyeongChang 2018 andBeijing 2022, the photography exhibition, titled Eternal Passion – the Past, Now (2018) and Future (2022) solemnlyopened on the 26th in the China Cultural Centre in Seoul.

The opening ceremony was attended by the following guests, who alsodelivered speeches: Shi Ruilin, Cultural Attaché from the Chinese Embassy inSeoul and Director of the Chinese Cultural Centre in Seoul; Zhang Fengchao, Chairpersonof the Beijing Olympic City Development Foundation; Kwon Byong-hyon, formerKorean ambassador to Beijing and representative of Future Forest of Sino-KoreanYouth Cultural Association; and Chung In-kyu, Head of PR Department of the PyeongChangOrganising Committee for the 2018 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.

While addressing on the occasion, Shi emphasised that South Korea andChina should join hands in line with the Olympic Spirit embedded in the Olympicideals of “peace, friendship and progress”, and intensify trust andcollaboration in difficult times to counter all challenges. He added that byjoining hands, the people of South Korea and China would be able to maximisetheir wisdom and overcome any obstacles, thus driving forward the Sino-Koreanrelations.

During his address, Zhang commented that the photography exhibition inSeoul would further the understanding of its people in the Olympic developmentof China and Beijing while strengthening the friendship of the two Olympiccities.

The exhibition has been divided into four parts, namely Beijing 2008,Winter Olympic History, Winter Visage of Beijing and Zhangjiakou and EternalFire. It directly and vividly showcased spectacular moments from Beijing 2008,the development history of the Winter Olympics, the cityscape of Beijing andZhangjiakou and the love and passion of the people for winter sports. Eternal Passion, the Winter Olympicphotography exhibition, will continue until August 5.
