Japan expects to learn from China for the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics

Source:2013-10-08

According to the CRI Online, Hiraoka Eisuke, head of Japanese delegation for the East Asian Games, was interviewed on 6th October.

This was the first time for Japanese delegation to attend international comprehensive competition after Tokyo won the bid for the 2020 Summer Olympics. According to the Hiraoka Eisuke, “We dispatch many young athletes for the Games this time. The youngest is only 13 years old; and all delegates are aged 20 on average. China pays much attention to the cultivation of young players, who do intensive practice phase by phase from an early age. Japan will also focus on fostering the young, so the East Asian Games is a good chance for them to grow up and increase experience, and makes great sense.”

For the successful experience of the Beijing 2008 Olympics, Hiraoka Eisuke said, “The Beijing 2008 Olympics was unexceptional and very successful. All things went very well and no accident occurred. Japan will strengthen venue construction and overall operation for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo so as to all athletes will give full play to their strength. Therefore, we expect suggestions and reference from China in all sides.”
