New CPC members take oath on Party anniversary

According to statistics from the Beijing Youth League, over 1.9 million league members have applied to enroll as CPC members since Beijing won the right to host the Olympics, and about one eighth of them were admitted to the Party ranks. With the launch of the Olympic volunteer program in 2005, many people have been honored as members of the "Youth Brigade" and have since become CPC members.
