On Sunday, Beijing took over the Olympic torch relay with the successful conclusion of the torch handover ceremony, which took place at Panathenaikon Stadium, the site of the first modern-day Olympic Games. The torch is now on its way to China's capital, where a welcome ceremony will be held at Tian'anmen Square on the morning of March 31.
