The National Aquatics Center Venue Information

The National Aquatics Center Venue Information

Located on the western side of JINGGUANG Road of the Olympic Green, the National Aquatics Center, also known as the "Water Cube", is a blue crystal palace, with the appearance of light-blue bubbles on the outside, perfectly displaying the beauty of water under various light conditions.

In contrast to the stark lines of the "Bird's Nest" National Stadium, the "Water Cube" is built with soft and rounded contours. The world's only enclosed public construction covered entirely with membrane, the translucent building creates a comfortable, tranquil and poetic atmosphere.

Sparkles, glows and the iridescent "bubbles" on its outer walls are unforgettable. The "Water Cube" and the "Bird's Nest", one square and one round, one with strong straight lines, the other smooth and graceful, compliment each other to create an extraordinary environment in the Green.
