Competition Rules

The triathlon competition at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games will be held in accordance with the ITU Rules and Regulations and with the Olympic Charter, in force at the 2008 Olympic Games.

Pursuant to the Olympic Charter, ITU assumes the responsibility for the technical control and direction of its sport at the Olympic Games.

Appointment of Technical Officials

ITU is responsible for the appointment of 26 International and 10 National Technical Officials.
