Competition Rules

The softball tournament at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games will be held in accordance with the International Softball Federation (ISF) 2006-2009 Official Rules, as well as with the Olympic Charter, in force at the time of the 2008 Olympic Games.

Pursuant to the Olympic Charter, ISF assumes the responsibility for the technical control and direction of its sport at the Games.

Appointment of International Technical Officials

ISF will be responsible for appointing all of the seventeen international technical officials (ITOs) for the softball tournament, the number being based upon the quota set out by the IOC.
