Competition Format

The competition will consist of eight teams playing a round-robin preliminary tournament, progressing to semifinals and final round games.

Preliminary Round

During the preliminary round, each team will play with every other team once. Ranking of the teams will be in accordance with the win/loss record of all the games played.

All ties after the preliminary round will be settled as follows:

1. The team that wins the game(s) between the teams tied shall be given the higher position;

2. Fewest runs allowed divided by the number of innings played in defense in the games between teams tied;

3. Fewest earned runs allowed divided by the number of innings played in defense in the games between the teams tied;

4. Highest batting average in games between the teams tied, or

5. A coin flip.

Semifinal Round

The four teams with the highest rank from the preliminary round will progress to the semifinal round. In this round, the teams will play each other in the following format:

Semifinal 1: 1st ranked team vs. 4th ranked team

Semifinal 2: 2nd ranked team vs. 3rd ranked team

The winners of these matches will progress to the gold medal match; the losers will progress to the bronze medal match.

Final Round

The final round is played in the following format:

Bronze Medal Match: Loser of Semifinal 1 vs. Loser of Semifinal 2

Gold Medal Match: Winner of Semifinal 1 vs. Winner of Semifinal 2

The winner of the Gold Medal Match will receive the gold medal; the loser will receive the silver medal. The winner of Bronze Medal Match will receive the bronze medal; the loser will finish in 4th place.
