Competition

The athletics competition at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games will be held in accordance with the latest edition of IAAF Competition Rules and the Olympic Charter, in force at the time of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.

Pursuant to the Olympic Charter, IAAF assumes the responsibility for the technical control and direction of its sport at the Olympic Games.

Appointment of Technical Officials

IAAF will be responsible for appointing 63 International Technical Officials including Jury Members and Judges.
