(BEIJING, August 19) -- Bulgaria will face off against Russia and Italy will play Poland in the quarterfinals of the Men's Volleyball tournament on Wednesday, August 20. The matchups were determined by a drawing of lots, conducting by the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) at the conclusion of the preliminary round.
The two other quarterfinal matches were determined by the pool standings. Pool A winner The United States will play pool B fourth-place finisher Serbia, and pool B winner Brazil will play pool B fourth-place finisher China.

10:00 a.m. Bulgaria (A3) - Russia (B2)
12:00 p.m. Italy (A2) - Poland (B3)
8:00 p.m. China (A4) - Brazil (B1)
10:00 p.m. The United States (A1) - Serbia (B4)
The winners of The United States vs Serbia and Bulgaria vs Russia will meet in one semifinal and the winners of Italy vs Poland and China vs Brazil will meet in the other semifinal.
