DATES / PROCESS OF CONFIRMATION OF PLACES

By no later than 12 June 2008, the ITF shall confirm to National Associations/NOCs the names of players eligible for direct qualification for singles and/or doubles based on the international computer rankings of 9 June 2008 .

By no later than 23 June 2008 the National Associations/NOCs shall advise the ITF which of their eligible players have been selected to compete in the singles and doubles competitions.

By no later than 3 July 2008 the ITF shall advise National Associations/NOCs of final qualification places.

REALLOCATION OF UNUSED QUOTA POSITIONS

If any eligible players/pairs are not entered by the respective National Association/NOC by 23 June 2008, the places shall be reallocated to the next highest ranked athlete/pair from the respective event; up until 2 August 2008 when any withdrawal shall be replaced by players/pairs already on site.

MAXIMUM PER NOC The maximum number of players per NOC shall be 6 men and 6 women, of which a maximum of 4 men and 4 women may compete in the individual events, and a maximum of 2 doubles pairs (a maximum of 2 players qualified for doubles only), may compete in the doubles events

ALLOCATION OF QUALIFICATION Entry is attributed to the NOC which has the right to enter the athletes that are eligible based on the ITF's criteria and the recognised World Ranking of 9 June 2008

14 final qualification places in each singles event will be allocated by the ITF based on the recognised World Ranking and the continental/NOC representation

Final Qualification
Final qualification places will be allocated by the ITF to doubles players based on the recognised World Doubles Ranking and the continental/NOC representation, until a total of 86 places have been allocated
