LONDON, July 6 (Xinhua) -- American Venus Williams crushed Serbian sixth seed Ana Ivanovic 6-2, 6-4 on Friday to reach her sixth Wimbledon final and a chance for her fourth title.
The winner in 2000, 2001 and 2005 will take on French Marion Bartoli on Saturday who upset top seed Justine Henin of Belgium in the other semifinal.
"I felt like I played really well in the first set," said 27-year-old Venus, who will chase her sixth career Grand Slam title.
It was Williams's third successive straight sets demolition of higher-ranked opponents after knocking out 2004 winner Maria Sharapova in the fourth round and Svetlana Kuznetsova in the last eight.
"It's just about doing the right things at the right time. I always believe in myself. I feel like no matter who I play, I have the advantage going up."
For Ivanovic, it was the second tournament in a row where she buckled under pressure following her collapse at the hands of Henin in the French Open final last month.
