(BEIJING, August 15) -- Americans Rebecca Soni, Ryan Lochte and Michael Phelps all set world records on Friday, giving the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games their 20th world record in the Swimming competition.

Phelps has now recorded five world records in Individual Olympic events, surpassing Americans Mark Spitz and John Hencken, who previously held the best mark with four.
With the heats in the Women's 50m Freestyle, Men's 1500m Freestyle, Women's 4 x 100m Medley Relay and Men's 4 x 100m Medley Relay still to come, more world records could follow.
