(BEIJING, June 20)-- To mark the 50-day countdown to the Olympic Games, the International Sailing Federation (ISAF) has announced plans to overhaul their website, Sailing.org, in preparation for wall-to-wall coverage of the Olympic Sailing Competition.
Sailors from 53 nations will be participating in this summer's Olympic competition, which takes place in Qingdao, a co-host city of the first Olympic Games to take place in China.
The website will feature live updates, results and weather information of each of the Olympic races, as well as behind-the-scenes coverage, news updates from reporters Lynn Fitzpatrick and Di Pearson and daily photography from Getty Images.
A database of past Olympic sailing results and articles about the sport's Olympic history will offer background information for the Qingdao Olympic events. And guides, explanations of regulations and qualification details will help newcomers to the sport and veterans alike.
The ISAF's Olympic coverage is currently at Sailing.org/Olympics.
