TOTAL 75 riders and 75 horses (+15 reserve horses/1 per team)
MAXIMUM PER NOC An NOC can enter a maximum of 1 team in the Team Competition (4 riders). An NOC may only participate with a maximum of 3 riders in the Final Individual competition. For nations qualified only as individuals, the maximum per NOC shall be 2 riders and 2 horses
ALLOCATION OF QUALIFICATION Qualification is allocated to the NOC, with open right to select from eligible riders and horses

| Olympic Qualification Group G (South East Asia) at WEG 2006 | The best placed team of Group G at the WEG 2006 AND The team with the best combined classification of WEG 2006 and Olympic Qualification Groups G FEI approved event in 2007 will qualify |

| 2007 Pan American Games Group E |
The NOC of the 4 best placed individual from Olympic Group E (Central / South America) will qualify | 4 riders |
| Olympic Qualification Group F (Africa & Middle East) | The NOC of the 3 best placed individuals from Olympic Group F at the WEG 2007 and at the Group F FEI selected Olympic qualification event will qualify | 3 riders |
