(BEIJING, August 19) -- Gerd Kanter of Estonia threw 68.82 to claim Olympic gold in the Men's Discus Throw Tuesday, August 19. Taking the silver medal was Piotr Malachowski of Poland with a throw of 67.82. Virgilijus Alekna of Lithuania took bronze at 67.79.
