FIFA president expresses satisfaction with co-host city Qinhuangdao

(BEIJING, August 16) -- Joseph S. Blatter, FIFA president, expressed gratitude for the excellent working conditions for FIFA personnel at Olympic co-host city Qinhuangdao, in Hebei province. He watched the Women's Football match between China and Japan at Qinhuangdao Olympic Sports Center Stadium at 9:00 yesterday evening.

FIFA delegation members have been working at Qinhuangdao for the past few days, and all feel quite at home in the comfortable atmosphere. Mr. Blatter is very grateful for the assistance and support from Qinhuangdao, a city with an abundant wealth of ancient culture, located at the eastern end of the Great Wall.

Mr. Blatter believes that the Olympic Football tournament is a significant part of the Beijing Olympic Games, and he hopes that Football will become more popular in Qinhuangdao, as well as in all other Chinese cities.
