Beijing wins two prizes in Paris Air Quality Conference

(BEIJING, November 16) -- Beijing has been awarded the 'Special prize for air quality improvement' and 'clean vehicles' prize' at the third Paris Air Quality Conference that concluded recently, according to Beijing Environment Protection Bureau.

The conference was initiated by French environmental protection and health NGOs, and attended by representatives from the World Bank, the European Union and the Environment Ministry of France.

Santa Monica in California and Paris Île-de-France share the 'Special prize for air quality improvement' with Beijing.
