(BEIJING, August 4) -- BOCOG International Relations Department will offer outstanding services to Olympic Family members so that they may enjoy their stay in Beijing, said Vice-Director Wang Shilin at a press conference held on August 4.

For example, at Olympic Family Hotels, high-quality services, including venue and competition information availability, transport vehicles and language services are offered. There are also "one-stop" travel services in all five of the Olympic Family Hotels to assist with visits to venues in other Olympic host cities.

A special reception team has been set up to provide services to distinguished guests like IOC President Jacques Rogge. For spouses of IOC members and their attendants, special tourist programs are planned either for scenic spots or cultural attractions from August 1-7. These activities aim to help the visitors better understand Beijing, a reflection of the concept of a "People's Olympics."

Wang's department and service teams will offer assistance and technical support to the 120th IOC Session, IOC Executive Board meetings and daily coordination meetings with BOCOG that will be held in the Olympic Family Hotels.

There will be 205 NOCs with 16,000 athletes and officials in Beijing, the highest number of participating NOCs ever for any Olympic Games. Each delegation is assigned a liaison officer and assistants. They will help BOCOG communicate with NOC delegations to offer better services. From July 27 when the Olympic Village opened, routine conferences with NOC delegation heads have been held every day to address issues and accommodate the needs of the delegations.

According to Wang, Olympic Family members with valid documentation can enter China without a visa from July 8 to September 23. A 24-hour hotline (+86 10 66699778) is available to offer help for those who need assistance with immigration services. Help desks have also been installed at terminals 2 and 3 of the Beijing Capital International Airport.

In addition, Wang reported that high quality multi-language services are available for foreign guests. Also, a multi-language service center with proficiency in 44 languages is available for all athletes and officials.
