Some Olympic events originally scheduled for August 14 were affected by bad weather. In order to ensure that tournaments continue to run as smoothly as possible, Beijing 2008 officials have decided to rearrange competitions in the following manner:
1. Softball
The tenth Softball game, between USA and Canada, which was cancelled before it officially concluded due to rain on August 14, is rescheduled for August 15. The game will commence 30 minutes after the finish of the previously scheduled game between USA and Japan, estimated at 2:30 p.m.
2. Baseball
The game between China and Republic of Korea is postponed to August 17 at 6:00 p.m.
3. Rowing
All events scheduled for August 14 are rescheduled for August 15. Competition start times remain the same.
4. Canoe/Kayak Slalom
Events that were canceled due to rain on August 14 are rescheduled for August 15 at 3:00 p.m.
5. Tennis
Women's Doubles semifinal competitions scheduled for August 15 are postponed to August 16. Competition times remain the same.
The Women's Doubles bronze medal match scheduled for August 16 is rescheduled for August 17. The match will be played at 2:30 p.m., two hours ahead of its originally scheduled time. Ticket holders may begin entering the Olympic Green Tennis Center at 12:30 p.m. in advance of this event.
6. Beach Volleyball
In the original agenda, Men's and Women's Beach Volleyball elimination round competitions were scheduled for both August 15 and 16. With the rearrangement, all Women's competitions will take place on August 15, and Men's competitions will take place on August 16.
For all rescheduled events, ticket holders must show their tickets to the original events to be admitted entrance to the venues.
Outdoor events may be affected by the weather, and may thus be rescheduled. Announcements will be made regarding rearrangements as soon as possible. We thank you for your support and understanding.
