(BEIJING, May 13) -- On Tuesday morning, reporters from 45 Chinese internet companies gathered at the Beijing Olympic Tower to take part in an activity promoting the processing of news regarding the Olympics through the web.
After emphasizing that an innovative Chinese internet-based media network would be essential to the promotion of the Olympics, Wang Hui of BOCOG provided information regarding Olympic preparations to those present, including details about the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympic Games, competition venues, cultural activities, volunteer training, ticket sales, security issues, and media services.
In the three-day interviewing activity, which will last until May 15, the reporters will investigate Olympic venues (including the Workers' Stadium, Laoshan Velodrome, and the Olympic Basketball Gymnasium) and Olympic sponsors, such as Lenovo.
