(BEIJING, October 16) -- China's Banking Regulatory Commission (CBRC) has backed an initiative of the Beijing Postal Savings and Remittance Bureau to set up 22 outlets nearby the Beijing 2008 Olympic venues, Xinhua News Agency reported on Monday.
The outlets will be located in the Olympic venues, near the convention centers, media centers and living communities, with their spaces ranging from 100 plus sq m to 1,000 sq m, a CBRC source was quoted as saying.
The existing 59 outlets located in the Olympic central area, Beijing's major business streets and nearby the Olympic projects will be renovated to improve their services and meet banking needs during the Olympics, the source said.
