(BEIJING, September 30) -- An Olympic sand sculpture park featuring the century-long history of the Olympic Movement from Athens to Beijing was unveiled at the 9th China Zhoushan International Sand Sculpture Festival in Zhejiang Province on Saturday.

Highlighted by a gigantic sand sculpture figure of the Beijing Olympic Torch, the 200-meter-long, 50-meter-wide beach park consists of over 50 sculptures, vividly telling the stories of the ancient Olympics, past Games of modern Olympic history as well as the Beijing Olympic Games. Sand sculpture artists from 10 countries including China, the United States and Russia participated in the event.

These sculptures will be preserved till the end of next July as a group of unique art pieces created to welcome the Beijing Olympics.
