
(BEIJING, August 28) -- At the invitation of the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau, a number of people from different walks of life in Beijing experienced security services for the Beijing Olympic Games on Monday.
They were brought to the China Agriculture University Gymnasium to visit security check equipment, the command room and media zone and get updated on the duty of the guards in various fixed points of the competition venue. The visitors put forth their opinions according to what they had seen.
The visitors included deputies to municipal and district people's congresses, Olympic champions, other citizens, and the police liaison officers of the embassies of Canada, France, Australia and the Republic of Korea.
Campaign organizers said the aim is to collect suggestions to improve the security services for the Olympics, and similar activities will be held in other venues in the process of the Good Luck Beijing sport events scheduled from July 2007 to May 2008 ahead of the Olympics in August next year.
