The food services will be featured with fresh, inviting, various and
plentiful foods. Menus will satisfy the diverse requirements of media from all
nations as well as reflect the culture of Beijing and China.
Media Villages
Breakfast, which will be the main meal consumed within the Media Villages,
will provide a wide variety of hot and cold food and beverages. Breakfast will
be a buffet service.
Also there will be lunch and dinner services available for the media
residents and an supper menu is planned which will include hot choices as
well.
In addition, restaurant dining areas and facilities like a Cafe Bar, serving
drinks and snacks, will be set up in the Media Villages.
MPC
Catering services for the MPC will operate 24 hours daily in periods
according to schedule. Services for the Paralympic MPC will be similar in
standard to that of the Olympic period, but on a smaller scale.
Different service types are planned for the MPC, including an international
food court (within which there will be a McDonald's restaurant), an open air
dining area, a lobby café and several media bars, etc. The services will include
fine dining, buffet and grab & go in different areas.
IBC
Catering services for the IBC will operate 24 hours daily in periods
according to schedule. Services for the Paralympic IBC will be similar in
standard to that of the Olympic period, but on a smaller scale.
Different service types are planned for the IBC, including international food
courts, a lobby café and several media bars, etc. The services will include fine
dining, buffet and grab & go in different areas.
Competition Venues
Food and beverage service will be provided in the Media Lounge of competition
venues, the duration of which depends on the schedule of specific competition
sessions.
Apart from the user-pay service in the lounge, some free-of-charge
refreshments will be available as planned.
