On January 23, the men's +105kg event of the 2008 International Weightlifting Invitational Tournament proceeded at Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics Gymnasium. Despite fierce competition, Matthias Steiner from Germany won the gold; Grzegorz Kleszcz from Poland won the silver; and China's Gao Le won the bronze.
