Day Four Morning Roundup: Australian Patrick Johnson leads in 200m race

(BEIJING, May 25) -- Patrick Johnson took the lead in the Men's 200m Semifinals at the China Athletics Open Sunday morning, posting a time of 20.81 seconds. He came in third, missing the gold medal by 0.08 seconds, in the 100m Final, but he still has one more chance to have a taste of gold in the 200m Final at China's new National Stadium Sunday evening.

The Women's 200m Semifinal also took place Sunday morning. Chen Yuxiang came in first place with a time of 24.06 seconds, while Wang Yingju and Qiu Jiehui finished second and third, with times of 24.12 seconds and 24.16 seconds, respectively.

The four-day China Open will conclude Sunday evening with 12 event finals: the Women's 200m, 800m, 5000m, 4x 100m Relay, 4x400m Relay, Triple Jump and Javelin Throw and the Men's 200m, 5000m, 4x400, Relay and High Jump events.

In the current medal standings for this last Good Luck Beijing event, Japan ranks first with three gold medals, followed by China, Australia and New Zealand, with two gold medals each.
