Founded in 1905, Zicha Primary School is the key school in Guangdong and cited as The Green School.

The school, covering nearly 16,000 square meters, sets up 50 classes and has almost 2,700 students with a faculty of 120 teachers. And students are provided with advanced learning facilities by the school.

Zicha Primary School believes that spreading Olympic knowledge is a feasible way of promoting Olympic movement and spirit and will greatly enhance moral education. The Olympic knowledge and ideas has been fully integrated with moral and physical education and school activities.

In the past few years, Zicha hosted at school a series of competition of calligraphy and painting in the name of the Olympics and Beijing. Students are offered opportunities to express their enthusiasm and support for the Beijing Olympic Games.

Through a variety of activities of environment protection, students are learning step by step what the Green Olympics means and the important role that science and technology play in building a better future of environment. Students were urged to keep a clean and green campus. A recycling centre, named "Green Collection Station", was established at school. Students are encouraged to use those junks as raw materials to create art works and display their works in public, spreading the idea of the Green Olympics.

The school takes advantage of multimedia technology to introduce songs on the Olympism and sports to students in music class. Some songs are even taught by teachers.

To promote students' knowledge about the Olympics among students, Zicha has taken following measures: open an Olympic column in school radio, broadcasting Olympic knowledge; urge students to read Olympic books; organize writing competitions on the Olympics.
