(BEIJING, April 28) -- Jackie Chan, Liu Huan, Andy Lau, Emil Chau, Stephanie Sun, Jay Chou and Wang Li Hong will be among the singers who will perform "Beijing Huan Ying Ni" here on April 30 at Tai Miao, in celebration of the 100-day countdown to the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, it was disclosed at a press conference jointly held by BOCOG and FAW-Volkswagen.

"Beijing Huan Ying Ni," which means "Beijing welcomes you," was written especially for the 100-day countdown celebration and will be performed before a live audience for the first time that evening.
According to Zhao Dongming, director of the BOCOG Cultural Activities Department, some 100 singers and 200 people from the music industry will gather at Tai Miao to celebrate from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on the evening of April 30.

An awards ceremony for the Beijing 2008 song search will also be held that evening to give recognition to organizations and individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the Beijing 2008 Olympic song search, he said.

Cui Ya'nan, the celebration's director, revealed that theater lighting would be deployed to create a natural and graceful atmosphere that evening.
The 100-day countdown celebration at Tai Miao will be broadcast live via CCTV and BTV as well as BJ Radio.
