Jackie Chan makes appearance for 'China Story' celebration

(BEIJING, August 4) -- Stars Jackie Chan and Tan Jing came out for a launching ceremony for the "China Story" cultural exhibition on the night of August 3.

As a volunteer for the ceremony, Chan was presented with an official Beijing Olympics ID card from Zhao Dongming, director of BOCOG's Cultural Activities Department.

Chan told the audience that he is very excited to become a member of the large China Story family and will be willing to do anything to help. Chan revealed that after visiting the pavilions where the cultural exhibitions will be performed, he now plans to transform the pavilions into a central attraction during the Olympics.

Chan expressed belief that China Story presents the true and diverse essence of Chinese culture

Kan Ke, deputy director of BOCOG's Cultural Activities Department, was also present at the ceremony.
