(BEIJING, Oct. 5) -- With the completion of the Olympic Green Tennis Center, the Olympic city now has a world-class tennis center not only for professional games and training, but also a platform for cultivating tennis culture among the general population, said an insider.
The tennis movement has become more a way of life than a simple sport in the modern city, as it is considered by many as one of the symbols for fashion, dynamics and health. People love the sport not just because of the tough competitions, but moreover for the warmth and sunshine that comes with the sport.
In light of the trend, the designers of the structure -- known for the three lotus-shaped main courts – have made great efforts to offer spectators the best line of vision possible. For instance, the back seats are nine centimeters higher than the front seats, instead of the common six centimeters. Also, the stands are designed steep enough for spectators to catch every movement of the netters and the direction of the speedy balls.
After the Olympic Games, the tennis center will also be accessible to tennis fans in the city.
