(BEIJING, March 26) -- For the fifth stop on the "Good Luck Beijing" tour of the Olympic venues, we take you to the three venues located in the Olympic Green: the Olympic tennis courts, the Olympic hockey field, and the Olympic archery field. The hockey field and the archery field are temporary venues, and following the Olympic Games, the turf and other components of these two venues will be used for other purposes.
The archery field is located to the north of the hockey field. Construction of the venue's main steel structure has already been completed. The remainder of the construction work is slated for completion in 76 days.
The Olympic Green Archery Field has a building area of 8,609 sq m, including the 14 auxiliary buildings. The venue has three archery ranges: (from east to west) a 23-target range for competition warm-up and the ranking round; a range for both elimination and final rounds; and a range just for elimination rounds.
The venue has a total capacity for 5,384 spectators, with seating for 4,510 in the combined elimination and final round range, and 874 in the elimination round range.
