(BEIJING, August 16) -- The new Olympic Clay Target Field does it right.
It puts people first.
Every detail of the venue is an embodiment of designers' dream to put people at the top of their agenda.
The main building consists of an outdoor spectators' stand and operational center on the first floor with a total construction height of 20.20 meters.
"It will naturally streamline the spectators and those involved in competition operation. Besides, spectators can overlook the entire competition field from the upper floor," said Qi Bing, chief architect.
Nearly 5,000 seats cover a total area of 6,076.9 square meters are installed at the spectators' stand with a slope of 22 degrees – the very best way to watch the competition.
Some 60% of the 3,394 fixed seats are equipped with a steel-structured wooden canopy to keep fans out of both sun and rain.
Barrier-free facilities are also provided to provide individuals with disabilities easy access to the venue.
