REALLOCATION OF UNUSED QUOTA POSITIONS
The NFs/NOCs must confirm to FINA the participation of their synchronised swimming team and duet
by not later than 15 May 2008.
Should an NF/NOC not enter a qualified team or duet, the unused quota place will be ransferred to
the next highest ranked duet(s) or teams(s) from the Olympic Games Qualifying Tournament.

1. Continental Championships: 5 teams
Automatically one (1) team from the Continental Championships of the five (5) continents. The
host nation will be representative of that continent
2. Olympic Qualifying Tournament: 3 teams
The top three (3) placed teams from the Olympic Qualifying Tournament qualify for the Olympic
Games
Duet Qualification (24 duets)
1. NFs/NOCs qualified in the team event:

The eight (8) NFs/NOCs qualified for the teams event may also enter a duet in the duet
competition, using the same athletes as entered for the team event.
2. Olympic Qualifying Tournament: 16 duets

In addition to the eight (8) duets of NFs/NOCs qualified through the team event, one (1) duet from
each continent not represented, plus the next ranked duets for a total of twenty-four (24) duets
from the Olympic Qualifying Tournament qualify for the Olympic Games.
