The sacred flame of the Beijing Olympics is extinguished at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games Closing Ceremony held in the National Stadium, also known as the Bird's Nest, in Beijing, China on August 24, 2008. The Closing Ceremony began at 8:00 p.m. (GMT/UTC +8) Sunday.
