(BEIJING, August 11) -- Approved by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), a collection of official posters from past Olympic Games (1896-2004) went on sale at the flagship Olympic Licensed Product Store in Wangfujing on August 5, with 200 sets sold on the first day alone.
As the poster collection, available in China for the first time, has high potential collector's value, this is a golden opportunity for Olympic collectors. Each set contains 25 posters, one for each edition of the Games from 1896 to 2004. Printed on acid-free paper, each poster measures 500mm X 700mm.
Eight thousand poster sets will be available with a retail price of 1,680 yuan (about 243 US dollars) per set.
