Guo Jinlong

Guo Jinlong serves as Executive President of the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG) and Vice-Secretary of its leading Party members' group. He is also currently a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC); Deputy Secretary of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee; Mayor of Beijing; and Secretary of the leading Party members' group of the Beijing municipal government.

Guo was born in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province in July 1947 and graduated from the Physics Department of Nanjing University in September 1969.

His previous positions included vice secretary of the CPC Zhongxian County Committee of Sichuan Province and head of the county; deputy chief of the Agricultural Research Office of Sichuan Provincial government; deputy chief of the Agricultural and Economic Commission of Sichuan Province; deputy secretary and secretary of the CPC Leshan Municipal Committee of Sichuan Province; member of the Standing Committee and deputy secretary of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee; deputy secretary and secretary of the CPC Tibet Autonomous Regional Committee; secretary of CPC Anhui Provincial Committee; chairman of the Standing Committee of Anhui Provincial People's Congress； and deputy and acting mayor of Beijing.

He is a deputy to the 11th National People's Congress.
