Yan Zhongqiu

Yan Zhongqiu -- Executive Member of the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG) -- is also Deputy Secretary-General of Beijing municipal government, and Vice-Chief of Beijing 2008 Project Construction Headquarters Office.

Born in Beijing, in August 1954, Yan graduated from the Beijing College of Economics (majoring in Politics and Economics). Yan is now an associate researcher.

Yan's past posts included Deputy Chief, Chief, and then Researcher of Urban Construction Division of the Beijing Municipal Government's Research Office; Vice-General Manager of Beijing Bei'ao Co Ltd; Coordinator and Chief of general office of CPC Committee of Beijing Organisation Dept.
