Gu Yaoming

Gu Yaoming serves as Executive Member of the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG).

Gu is also Director of International Affairs Department of the General Administration of Sports, Secretary-General of the Chinese Olympic Committee, Vice-Secretary General of All-China Sports Federation, President of China Triathlon Sports Association, and Executive Board Member of International Sports Press Association.

Born in Jiading, Shanghai, in October 1946, Gu was Xinhua's resident correspondent in Canada, People's Daily's resident correspondent in Northern Europe, Deputy Chief and Chief of International Relations Dept. of All China Journalists' Association, and Director of International Bureau of the Information Office of the State Council.
