Li Binghua

Li Binghua -- Executive Vice-President of Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG) -- is also a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.

Born in Guangshan, Henan Province, in November 1942, Li graduated from Tsinghua University (majoring in Chemical Engineering), and in the early years, worked for the Chemical Industry Bureau of Beijing Municipality.

Later on, Li's positions in the government included Secretary of General Office of Beijing Municipal Party Committee, Head and Party Secretary of Beijings Xicheng District, member of the Standing Committee and Director of Organisation Dept. of Beijing Municipal Party Committee.

Li also served as BOCOG Vice-President and Director of the Human Resources Department prior to his current appointment.
