Yu Zaiqing

Yu Zaiqing serves as Executive Vice-President of the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG).
He is concurrently Vice Minister of State General Administration of Sports (SGAS), IOC Executive Board member; Vice President of Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), of Chinese Olympic Committee, and of All-China Sports Federation; President of International Wushu Federation, of China Sports Dance Association, and of Chinese Rowing Association; member of the Coordination Commission for the Games of the XXX Olympiad in London.
Born in Binxian County, Heilongjiang Province, in April 1951, Yu graduated from Nankai University.
His previous positions included Chief, Deputy Chief, Director of the General Office of the State Sports Commission; General Manager of the China Sports Development Co. Ltd.; Secretary General of China Sports Foundation; Director General of the general office of the State Sports Commission; Assistant to Governor of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of China; Vice Minister of State General Administration of Sports; Vice-President of Chinese Ski Association, of Chinese Cycling Association, and of Asian Cycling Confederation; and President of Chinese Sporting Goods Federation.
Yu also served as BOCOG Vice-President before the recent appointment.
