Deng Pufang

Deng Pufang- Executive President of Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG) - is also the incumbent President of China Disabled Persons' Federation, and Chairman of China Welfare Fund for the Handicapped.

Deng was born in Guang'an County in southwest China's Sichuan province in April 1944. After graduated from Beijing University with a major in nucleonics, Deng joined the Communist Party of China (CPC) in September 1965, starting his professional career in September 1968.

His previous positions include staff member of administrative and economic management section of general office under Central Military Committee (CMC), Vice-Chairman and Chairman of China Welfare Fund for the Handicapped, and Chairman and President of Executive Board of China Disabled Persons' Federation.

Deng was appointed BOCOG Executive President in January 2004.
