(BEIJING, July 8) -- On Tuesday, national anthem recordings for the 207 attending delegations at the Beijing Olympic Games were delivered to BOCOG by the Beijing Symphony Orchestra.
The anthems were prepared for Olympic victory ceremonies.
As a representative music troupe of the host city, the orchestra was entrusted with the mission in May 2007. "We have spent several months to complete the project; in consultation with the concerned countries, we try to present the anthems as accurately as possible," said organization head, Music Director and Conductor Tan Lihua.

Founded in 1977, the Beijing Symphony Orchestra has become one of the most highly regarded orchestras in China. The group fulfilled a similar duty for the Asian Games in 1990, but with a considerably lighter work load.
The delivery of recordings marked the start of final rehearsals for victory ceremonies at the Beijing Olympic and Paralympic Games.
