(BEIJING, January 7) -- BOCOG Executive Vice-President and Secretary-General Wang Wei met with President Richard Fosbury of the World Olympians Association (WOA) here on Monday.

Wang briefed the guest on the overall preparatory work for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. He pointed out that the preparations, including venue construction, competition organization, volunteer recruitment and "Good Luck Beijing" sport events, are on schedule and have made smooth progress.
Wang said BOCOG is confident of presenting a brilliant Olympic fiesta to the world.

Through the on-site tour, the WOA was convinced that China has done effective preparatory work and that the athletes coming from around the world will be satisfied, Fosbury noted.
Wang and Fosbury also exchanged views on a series of large-scale events that WOA will organize during the Olympic Games.
