
(BEIJING, January 7) -- BOCOG President Liu Qi met with Stanley Ho, a member of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Monday afternoon.
Liu told Ho that the preparatory work for the Beijing Olympic Games has won high attention from the Chinese government and great support from the Chinese people. The organizing committee will spare no efforts to deliver high-level Olympic Games with distinguishing features.
Liu said the compatriots in Macao have rendered great support to the Olympic bid and preparations, and he expressed hope that all circles of society in Macao would continue backing the Olympic preparations in the next seven months.

Stanly Ho, also a famous entrepreneur in Asia, noted that Macao would fully cooperate with BOCOG in the preparatory work for the Beijing 2008 Olympic torch relay.
Present at the meeting was BOCOG Executive Vice-President and Secretary-General Wang Wei.
