London Organizing Committee of Olympic Games (LOCOG) Distributed Olympic Surplus Capital

LOCOG stated on May 30 that it would distribute the surplus capital of £30 million (about $45 million) to British government, British Olympic Committee and the relevant parties, xinhuanet reported in London on May 30.


According to the distribution plan, British Olympics Association would get £5.3 million, and British Paralympics Association would get £2.6 million. British government would recover £20 million in this capital distribution because the most part of £9.3 billion put into London Olympics were supported by the government.


All the other surplus capital would be distributed to international development projects of great importance to the Olympic bid.


It is reported that since winning the right to host Olympic Games, LOCOG not responsible for preparing to build Olympic venues totally spent £2.38 billion.
